What Mods?

Recommended Posts

I would highly reccomend the oil and air filter mods..

Heres how to do it... drain all of your oil and replace it with 1/2 cup of wd-40 and 1/2 cup brakefluid . this will probblally make your bike faster than just the dual magnet mod on your trailtech computer by itself...

next, totally remove the air cleaner and air box throw them away.. they are useless especially in the sand dunes... go with the sock mod (I prefer argile 100% cotton) ..

oh, and don't forget the tire air pressure mod.. 85psi in the front and 75 in the rear...

after these free mods you will defiantly beat all of the banshees that you drag race... ?

Hey, you forgot those magnet mods where you put opposing magnets (same polarity) on each side of the fuel line! Dont expect to whoop up on a Banshee until you've done the fuel line magnets!

the airbox is also a good spot to keep your lunch. maybe your bike will get hungry too.

I've converted my air box to a hydration system. Hook my "bite valve" and hose to the drain in the bottom. Works good, and I wrap my tool pouch in a water tight ziplock bag and submerge it into the air box. One drawback is the more tools you carry, the less beverage you can drink as the tools will displace the drink. You can pick up a couple of "Camelback" stickers to put on the air box also. As for air filter, like others have said, use a sock where you keep your recipts and spare change. Dont forget to oil the sock or it will be worthless as far as trapping dirt. Just make sure its not a dirt sock to begin with. Now if you have been putting your lunch in the airbox, try removing an innertube and stick your lunch inside the rim. Use green slime ot convert it to tubless. You might have to smear a little RTV sealer (room temp vulcanizing) around the spoke nipples to keep them from leaking. Oh, dont forget tire irons in your submerged tool puch or you will be out of luck when when luch time rolls around! ?

I'm gonna build an additional "hot" air box off the muffler. I like hot lunch at this time of the year, so I'll recycle a little heat off the muffler. Also serves to keep the motor cooler (worth an additional 3 or 4 hp.) Pizza?

That would be great for a grilled cheese sandwich with air filter oil for a low fat substitute for butter! ???????

I wonder if the "hot air" box could cook burgers while you ride!! ??

In the state of california it is known to cause cancer.

So you may not want to.

Chris

Not to mention, the extra emissions produced from the burgers. You may have to add a catalyst behind it. It may change you from green sticker to red status. So consult with the CARB (california air resouce board) before doing this mod in Cally

I always thought CARB stood for Carcinogenic Airbox Roasted Burgers. They've been unfairly dubbed carcinogenic because of the close proximity to the carb' (gas' fumes). This is where the cancer rumours started, but don't worry, it's just an urban legend. CARBurgers are safe, and yummy to boot ???

Here are some things to check: has the gray wire been cut? The stock wr only have half throtle, you need replace it with one from a yzf, also the stock airbox needs to be opened up. You will then need to rejet the carb. When done with these modes you will notice a huge power gain. ?
