I just dumped my 01 YZ 250 for the F, I will never ride a two stroke again! Does anyone know which magazine ran the tricks section for the 250f with the suspension settings, and what month it was. I am thinking about having my suspension done, but would like to see how it is somewhat dialed in stock. I havent touched a thing except the sag. Any help would be appreciated.
YZF Suspension settings from MXA or DB?

I've had my 250f since Febuary and I haven't touched the stock settings. This is the first bike that I've had that I haven't sent the forks and shocks off to be revalved. The stock settings work just fine for me and I'm 5'11 and 205lbs. I rarely bottom it out. I may have it revalved later, but it works so well stock that I'm afraid to mess with it. So basically what I'm trying to say is, just ride it stock for awhile and see what you think.

I forgot what issue it was myself, MXA's favorite setting matched the stock settings , with the exception that they preferred the stiffer .45 fork springs.
Fork C=14, R=12 140mm oil level.
Shock C=7, R=11 Hi-C= 1 1/4 turns out
stock 4.8 spring.
I upped the spring rate to .46's and a 5.2 in the rear. My current settings are: fork C=16,R=10 oil level =125 mm. Shock C=9, R=12.
I weigh 175 but do like a stiffer suspension, but even with the stiffer springs , it does not feel stiff, it just gives me the bottoming resistance I need.

I think you'll find that the forks need a little stiffing as they break in. I went three clicks in on the forks, one click on the rear. I haven't toched rebound and I do not plan to do so. At the first suspension service, I'll probably add a few ccs of oil to the forks. I'm about 1951bs.
