If it still has the stock chain, replace it immediately and you'll save yourself some $$ by extending the life of the sprockets. The stock chain will chew the sprockets up in no time and you'll have to replace everything.

The stock bars are butter, I replaced mine before riding it with Pro Tapers. The stockers go back on to sell it. If you fall over with the stock bars, they're going to bend. So I suggest either replacing them or make sure you have a pipe that fits over the grips so you can bend them back. If you bend the throttle side, be sure to take the throttle tube off before bending. The plastic is only slightly less strong than the bars, but it will crack and break.

Forget the frame protectors; in my experience they rub the paint off and can scar the metal as well. Just plan to repaint when you sell.

I sure thought my 03 450 would be worth more than that at this point. I'm choosinig to believe you got a screaming deal and that I could get more through the local paper. Otherwise I'd get depressed. Nice buy!!

I always use the thick 3M clear vinyl adhesive sheet under frame guards, so as not to mark up the frame. Works great. ?
