hey all you 600 guys. what are the top mods for the xr 600? mine's a 94 w/ barkbusters,shark fin, cut down seat, &forks raised in triples for tighter steer. i ride 98% thick,rocky,muddy,cold woods.(slick tight and ruff). any ideas are very welcome. thanks chris

Depends on how much you want to spend on the beast! To be honest, big red has enough power standard and you'll go faster anyway with better handling than more power. I would install heavier .45kg fork springs making sure you get the preload/oil level right and if you're really keen, get the shock serviced and/or revalved with a heavier shock spring. On my '95 model I installed applied triple clamps and bar mounts, these were costly but gave the bike more rigid handling and a better riding position. As I stated above it all depends on how many $$$$$ you want to fork out!
