winter time what to do?

its almost time to store the bike for winter what would you guys recomnd me doing for storage

Put it in a BIG crate and ship it out to Northern California

Put the ol lady in the garage with a blanket over her

then go riding

Replace all fluids with new fluids. Drain all the gas even from the carb. Clean the carb. Lube ezerything.

Rejet, stud the tires and ride it.

general:

add "stabil" to gas tank, shake bike to mix.

ride bike for ~10 mins to get "stabil" in carb innards.

drain gas from tank.

run engine until out of gas.

drain gas from carb via screw and by removing main jet cover.

clean and oil air filter.

change oil and filter.

change coolant.

change brake fluid front and rear.

winter maintenance:

check valve clearances.

grease linkage and swingarm.

grease wheel bearings.

clean out airbox (Gunk "ENGINE-BRITE" works great)

inspect/change fork oil.

clean carb innards.

lube control cables.

clean/lube throttle tube.

lube brake and clutch levers, incl brake pedal.

check wheels for trueness.

check brake rotors for trueness.

check spoke tension.

inspect coolant hoses and oil lines for damage.
