Sup guys, I have a 2000 426 and I am changing my rear sprocket from 51 to 53, i am currently runnind a 15 in the front and want to know what type of changes i am goin to encounter when the swap is made. Also, just want to make sure there are going to be no jetting adjustments to be made ( dont think so but not sure). Thanks guys!!

Jetting??? What does gearing have to do with that?? the 15/51-53 gearing should be the same as stock just in a diferent way scince the stock is 14/48 i believe adding a tooth to the front drop the ratio so you would need to add 2-3 teeth to the back and would be back to your stock gearing. why would you do that either? just wondering.

Unless your bike needs different jetting in second gear than in fourth or fifth, you should be OK.

What are you riding ? Motocross? I have found that 14/50 is the perfect set up for me on a motocross track. I currently ahve 14/51 set up and I am just waiting for the rear to wear out so I can go back to the 50 !!!

The only tip I can think of is if your on a tight budget and want good chain life..
try to make your gear ratio work out with a 15 tooth counter as upposed to a 14....
the larger radius you run you chain around the less it will where....I have a 450 and
the four speed tranny makes it kinda tough to get the best of both worlds...(LOW geared
for plonking, TALL geared for hauling A$$ in the desert......Hope this helped you..

I ran a 13/50 for tight trails and it worked great.

I think you should return it and get the same one you had. YOU DO HAVE A RECIEPT FOR YOUR PURCHASE, RIGHT? LOL!
