Need oil change info 02' 426

This will be my 1st oil change for my 02' 426. If you could link me up to some info that would be nice.

Use a good SG oil if you can find one. The JASO grade MA is the equivalent of API SG. Grades SJ and later are not as good.

Avoid "Friction Modified" or "Energy Saving" oils.

Your bike takes roughly 1.4-1.6 liters on a oil and filter change. Start it with 1.2 and add to the full mark.

I wish there was a site like ThumperFAQ built just for the Big Blue Bikes, but I don't know of one. Most of the procedures for the 250Fs cross directly over to the 400/426/450 quite nicely, though, and for the most part, only the particular specs are different. Grab a copy of Satch's Manual!
