I agree they are very close in HP but not in torque. The WR has to rev higher to beat the BRP. BRP has higher top end gearing as well. You cant hit 105 mph with stock gearing on the WR! :cry:

my wr 400 eats my budys 650 every day of the week and the weekend may not be good for it to be rev that high but she begs for more wish i had 6th gear

I just bought a 04' WR4540 last Saturday. On the sheet of paper that I received with the bike it says 59HP. That would be at the crank I'm sure........ :cry:

can't complain about that. Don't think mines near that even with the free mods
