I have a 650L which is street legal other than the missing smog equipment. How do the laws in Canada compare to the U.S.?

If you are talking about smog control with cars you need to get them 'aircared' annually in the city to make sure they are still burning clean but I am pretty sure bikes are excluded.

If you are talking about legalizing a 650R no too much difficulty involved there as long as you have a horn, brake lights, mirror and signals.

Living where I do, none of the smog controls effect me and the police aren't too concerned about the bike following the letter of the law. :)

Here in socal all the bikes need is the baja kit -light taillight turn signals etc. Motorcycles don't have to pass a smog inspection here.
