Has anyone tryed fitting USD forks to an XR600? Is it straight-forward or is there too many mods that have to be done? :)

In the front of Baja Designs catalog, they have a printed copy of an old article in Dirt Bike magazine called "licensed to thrill". In the article, Tom Webb (the "wolf") put a USD fork from a CR500 on his XR600. According to the article, he had to have the XR steering stem machined to fit the lower triple clamp. He also had it re-sprung and re-valved to compensate for the weight of the XR. You might contact them, they might know exactly what all is involved.
