I have a 2001 650r that I have taken the core (Spark arrestor) out of. I am wondering if this is causing any unforseen damage other than maybe setting things on fire?

You unbolted the entire endcap and took it out? I'm assuming this is the stock pipe. Other than being loud and not s/a legal, it wont harm the bike if your jetting is correct.

You assumed right. The bike is 100% stock, all that I did was unbolt the core/spark arrestor. The result was...well you know, its pretty loud. Thanks for your input. I'll have more questions later. Peach
