Will 05 fork internals fit 04 fork?

Can you put the 2005 fork internals for the yzf450 in the 2004 forks?

Just curious why? Also I doubt it since the forks are now 1 piece.

The new forks are so much better thought I could upgrade since they are the same bike.

I totally understand what you mean. I was going to do that on my 03 450 with 04 forks. Honestly for the money you could probably get some Showa's off Ebay. My buddy bought basically a whole Honda front end for his kawi for 700 bucks. It really helped out.

it would be less expensive to have them revalved.
