Stu,
Is the E headpipe larger than the S? I've got a yosh slipon too and want to try to get a bigger headpipe.

Thanks,

Paul

Paul,

The E head pipe is larger than the S. If you remove the graphite/wire mesh sealing sleeve from the Yosh tail pipe you will find that it slips over the E head pipe nicely - only now there is too much room (approx 2mm diam.). I made my own sealing sleeve out of aluminum sheet metal. It was about 0.5mm thick so a few wraps and it was right. I was concerned that the aluminum would not take the heat so I made one out of stainless as well (really a son-of-a-gun to bend neatly). But the aluminum is holding up just fine and not going away. There are now about 500 miles with this sleeve on.

I added the E headpipe because I bought a slip on (bad move) and now am adding a hot cam intake and an e ex cam and want the increased breathing that the e headpipe will allow. Go for it - it works fine.

Oh ya, you need to grind off about 1/2" from the e head pipe so it fits all the way into the Slip on. No big deal, just grind until it reaches the collar and then clean it up with a file.
