XRL650 rear shock problems

Anyone out there ride an XRL650 off-road? I have a 2001 that I ride both on and off road and the shock is blown. I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.

how hard did you take a hit? i had a 99 xr650L i use to do east cost enduros with for two years and did not notice the problem.

Thanks, hourout. That's what I was hoping to hear. I was beginning to think that the bike just wasn't strong enough for rough riding. To answer your question, I've ridden it on a motocross track, hare scramble track, rocky trails, and the street. I love it for everything. I wouldn't want to come up short on a jump with it, but it works well for just about everything else.
