i was just looking over my 650r and noticed that the seal at the kickstarter has oil weaping but not enough to run down the case. im a novice at the wrenches and i am wondering if a little oil there is normal? do i have to replace that seal? thanks.

As far as it being normal - no. Do you have to change it? - no, not if it is just weeping. If it was mine it would get changed.
