My 04 yz450F hotstart leaver has got a little slack in it. should there be slack or should it be adjusted so that there in not slack when pulling lever back...also do you adjust it by just breaking the jam nut loose on the cable up by the bars? Thanks

If your 04 is the same as the 05 it should have 3-6mm of freeplay at the tip of the lever, the adjusment is done on the cable near the lever. Be sure you have the correct freeplay. If you have no freeplay you could create a air leak in the system which in turn will give you a lean mixture issue. Hope this is of some help to you!
