I've only seen 2 others besides mine ever and I was just curious if anyone one else had one. It seems to be of the more obscure variety of dual sports!
Does anyone else have a TW 200?

I keep trying to buy one. I almost has a 94 for $1200 a few months ago. I think these are fun little bikes. Low to the ground, e-start, dualsport. Whats not to like about em?

Yup, mother-inlaw has one. Between me and the father-inlaw, I'm sure we've put more than twice the miles on it that she has.
There are a few of these at our DS events (Michigan), but you are right in that they are not too popular. Not the best long-distance scoots, but nice nonetheless.

i have one and love it.
here is my review from a while back...
http://www.thumperta...rue#Post1095397
it is a cheap, light, reliable, simple bike that will take you anywhere you want to go. you won't win races with it - but it is just plain FUN.
a few of my friends scoffed at it when i bought it - but the funny thing is that they took it out for a spin and end up spending HOURS on it. it is just plain fun to ride around here because we have tight trails and deep sand.
definitely NOT the bike if you like to ride in the desert at speed or see alot of highway duty.
i modified mine with:
brush/grip guards from one of my old bikes
a rear rack from cycleracks.com
an auxillary 1 gallon tank in the rear
a 1 tooth bigger front sprocket.
i bought mine with 100 miles on it with all the gear for under $3k.... i've put about 1500 HARD miles on it without a hitch. i'd still like to have a nice KTM or DRZ - but for that price i can afford to have a street bike too

That's so cool that at least some people know what I'm talking about!
turbonotch- I bought mine with 300 miles on it and paid $2000. I think I've put about 1000 miles on it in the last year. Do you have any pics of yours?

TW's are just fun to ride M/C's....they will take you anywhere, are dependable and easy to work on(not in reference to breakage.....preventative maintenance and up grades) IF needed.....quite stable off road!!!.I like mine!!!!!!.

I have one. Pretty cool little bike. Great local commuter, and trail rig. With gas prices what they are, these little bikes are starting to become more popular. There is a whole site dedicated to em... http://tw200forum.com/ I also have a Wr426, way different animal. On the tw, I have yet to get one glare from any government official....Can't say the same with the WR.

How do the wide tires handle on gravel and dirt compared to a larger/skinnier tired dual sport?
I'm considering setting up a supermoto with offroad tires and ending up with a bike like the tw, but more powerful. Having a hard time deciding if wide tires are something I want or not...

Had an 06 model, messed up and got rid of it.
Just bought an 89 model to replace it. Wish it had a front disc brake but it does have a kick starter and a non-cv carb.

My friend has one... He's very unskilled at riding and it just sits in a garage
. Pretty underpowered bike but they're fun haha

The fat tire makes it a two wheel atv. Pretty cush and easy going

As far as being underpowered..it is what it is. Don't expect to be jumping on the freeway with it, but for around town, the TW holds it own.
