I recently purchased a new left over 2000 650R. I've finished all the power up mods,(manifold, jetting, unpluged the exhaust, etc.), and when I blip the throttle it hesitates to return to idle. Is this a common trait with this motor?
Thanks

Dutch,
Mine did the same thing. I found that the idle was to high. I backed out the idle screw and the "hanging idle" went away. You'll have to play with it a bit to get it right. I have uncorked and rejetted my bike. If yours is a stock US model, you should look into doing the same.

HTH,

Kevin

Thanks Kevin - That cured the problem. This is one motor that needs to be controlled!!
