My xr6 dribbles oil out of the countershaft seal after about 20 minutes of hard ridin. If I leave it at idle or ride slow no leak. Have any of you changed this seal and if so how do you do it and are any special tools required such as seal drivers?
Thanks for your help,
ross

Just pop it out, Inspect and clean the shaft and tap a new lubed seal in place. Total cost under $5 US. Same goes for countershaft and shifter seals. Spraying them with silicone helps them live longer. Powerwashers force dirt/water under the seals.
