(MUCH) Brighter light kit for my wr

The days are getting shorter and when I commute back home from the plant at 8 pm it gets dark. I feel the oem headlight may not be enough and I'd like to have suggestions on what is available to brighten up the trail.

My wr is street legal and already fitted with a battery and ac/dc voltage rectifier. It has the stock 120/or 130 watts coils.

I already received some good info and I thank you for that. But I had this crazy idea coming up to me. How bout installing a light kit like we see in night races. I need to know the where/what/and how of it. I'd make it a quick connect unit so it can be removed when I play on the mx track. The reliability is also important. I don't want the coils to catch fire ? I want to light up the night but not that way .

Have you tried going to the auto parts store with your stock bulb & getting an HID auto bulb (the ones that look kinda blue) thats the same fit? I did this on my old KTM LC4 & it made a world of difference.

An actual HID bulb will be no help to him. A HID system has ballasts like neon lights do to create high voltage. What he wants to buy is a "super white" bulb wich will work with his current system and be a little bit brighter.

i live florida but going to Dakar and i need a WR450 engine can you help me of where i can find one year 2001 or can i buy an yamaha engine periode

If just halogen, maybe a Sylvania Silverstar 55 watt bulb. This might be hard to find in the WR configuration though. If you run a Baja Designs style headlight shell, you can take an H4 bulb and the beam pattern is much better than stock.
