Putting an 426 motor in a 400 frame

I just bought a 426 motor off ebay..http://cgi.ebay.com/...&category=34284
is it a bolt on?

i think it will bolt right on but you will have to get the 426 head stay to mount from the frame to the head.the 400 headstay will be too long

NO.

The 02 motors use a larger 18mm pivot bolt shaft vs the previous years 17mm for 98-01.

If you can find a collar to work to fill up the 1mm gap, then yes.

Any machine shop should be able to quickly fabricate a bushing.
