My buddy took my bike apart and come to find out the lower rod bearing is seized. Any ideas? I change my oil regularly and bought the bike brand new.I use the yamaha oil which i find out now isnt that good, but it seems hard to believe it would cause a bearing failure.

My guess it that either the oil got contaminated with water (doesn't it sound ironic to complain that water is polluting oil?)or something got threw your air filter. I don;t know how good Yamalube is, but they definatly would not recomend it if it was that bad. I'd have to say something got in the oil to cause that.
