What's good price on new 04 WR450?

Recommended Posts

A shop that is sponsoring me offered me a new 04 wr450 for $5500. I'm tempted to switch from my KTM, but money is tight. I think this is a really good deal, but not sure if I should do it, even if it is. Anybody else been shopping?

Thanks in advance

That's a good deal! ? The best price now in the SoCal area is $6K out the door w/no extras. I bought the first one in San Diego last October and it was $6,500.00 out the door, but they did throw some extras to it. I thought I was lucky to get that price. I have been regular customer with the dealer and I did buy a TRX250EX for my daughter the same day. I have heard people spending as much as $7,300.00 when they were the hottest bike around.

Gees, mine was £5400, through a guy I know who works for Yamaha in the UK!! It was dealer cost! £5400 is approx $9500 US!!

That had the road kit fitted and was taxed and registered ready to go. Wihtout this it would still have been £5150!

We get so ripped in the UK. Good job we have the Queen to cheer us up! ?

International brokers has it priced at $5,399 w/o taxes, fees and not including shipping. I'd say $5,500 is a great price!

Yes, I'm getting one from Zach myself. I just wired him the money Tuesday. So I'm just waiting. It was $5399, plus $200 to get it close for me to pick up and it cost me $45 to "wire" it to a foreign country. Now I will have to pay tax on the $5399 at about 8.6% and then all money exchange will be finally done!

£5400! that's not bad for a road reg. Does it have all the Yamaha lighting equipment and VIN plate?

Me and my buddy bought two together for £4395 each, still crated and a day trip to Burnley to collect.

Am going thru the process of getting it registered now, a visit to the local DVLA office relieved me of £83 and now I have to take it for an inspection as well!

Yes we do get ripped off over here compared to the US, but what can you do ?

I ordered some bits from Rocky mountain ATV in US the other week, ordered on Friday, delivered on Monday! Try that from a UK supplier!

How does this work? Do they ship it right to your door? Do you send them all the cash? I've been looking around for a WR and it seems like this is a very good price for one.

EDIT: Opps, I read the page ?

Top, they ship it to an air frieght terminal near you, and it is Canadian spec. See their web site for details.

On the other hand you could drive to Columbia, MO to get a US spec WR450F. $5299 out the door from Pro Cycle. '05 is $5899. Pro Cycle makes you pick it up, because they make out the MSO to the buyer.

Those prices have gotta be before sales tax right? I don't see how they could beat motorcycle-brokers.com by a hundred bucks AND include taxes ?

out the door = taxes included
