top end speed

I have a 01 426 ,had it couple of weeks and cant quit grinning ,FAST BIKE , I got some big areas to ride trails but this bike just keeps getting faster before I have to slow down for lack of runway ,curious ,anyone know what the actual top speed is on this bike

I dont remember where but I read that the YZ400F and YZ426F can run up to 90-95mph . ? I am not shure if that is true or not?

BS!!!! Mine ran 84.8 with 15/49 at near sea level bouncing off the rev limiter...with stock gearing it wouldnt touch 80. Dont trust what the rags say.

Oops, I didn't review my post before I entered it........I meant to say 75mph ?.......I am 100% positive that a stock geared 426 runs 75mph at sea level.

if your only getting 75mph from your 426,i would have it checked out,the wr weregood for 89 mph while the yz will crack 82mph.easily with stock 14/49 gearing ?

check your instruments- my YZF will not get with the WR top end.

I got 74mph with 13/50 gearing W.O.T.

The WR broke 80 with stock gearing.

99 400F with an FMF Ti 4 14 inch can, did 81-82 on a flat dirt road according to gps unit and a trail tech speedo with stock gearing. A 426 should do 84 -85.

Assuming a paved surface, and good traction, a stock geared 02 426 should do 85 at 10,000 rpm in 5th. This will probably never actually happen on even the best dirt surface due to tire spin. If you don't think it's slipping the tire in 5th, lean it over a little and impress yourself.
