Utah Mt. Nebo Loop ride on Sat. July 17

Recommended Posts

Utah riders: Who's up for some sweet single track on Sat july 17 ? Here's a link to a map of the trails. http://www.fs.fed.us/r4/uinta/maps/interactive_maps/summer_travel/maps/09_nebo_n.pdf

If you look on the map, all dotted BLUE lines are open to motorcyles. The riding is similar to Hobble Creek But the loop is not as long. I guestimate there are maybe 20 miles of trails if that, But the riding is awesome. It's about an hours drive south of Saltlake City, down near Payson. Any Takers?

What up Danny & Chris. It was great riding with you guys on Saturday. Man did that ride wear me out! All I could do was Veg when I got home. Nebo will be awesome, we'll have to just keep looping it till we're tired. Hopefully you can make it Danny. We could do a loop in the morning and then meet up to do a second and maybe even a third loop in the afternoon. Let us know. After we find out who all wants to go we can set a time and meeting place. Later

Well.....Probably not. It would be cool, though, and I want to ride as many different places as I can this year. I'll probably have to wait til next time to go up there. I have a leaking radiator, bad u-joint on my driveline, and a host of other minor catastrophies on my truck. I don't think it will make it up that far. Plus, I think I'm going to drive up to Idaho with my brother on saturday to pick up a car that my sister is giving me. Let me know how the ride goes,i'llplan on making it to the next ride in august for sure.

Live,

I'm paying attention but the fact that I can't make a most of these rides this year makes me so sad I can't bring myself to post much. I would love to go but I've got a family reunion all day on the 17th. Believe me the ride would be funner (not that I don't like my family, but...its riding ?). In fact it will be at least 2-3 weeks before I am free.

Doug

I wish I could go with you guys but were trying to sell our house in Centerville because were building a new one, so I am finishing a bathroom and painting the bed room. Does that sound like more fun that riding, I don't think so. If any of you know of someone looking for a home in So. Davis Co.let me know. Once I get in this new house this fall I'll start riding again, well that is after I put in the sprinklers and yard, and the shrubs and the trees, and she wants moulding around the windows and------- ?

Nate - you're gonna have to help us decide where to meet. It would be good to pick a gas station or parking lot on the main road leading up to the canyon. Something easy to spot. How does 8:30am sound to everyone?

The Chevron just off I-15 would be the best place. But I'm not going.... ? Have fun and be safe guys.

Sorry I took so long to respond guys. I just got back from Idaho this morning. I was away for a couple days. I'm thinking 8:00 am on Sat at the Wendy's right at the second Payson exit would be a great time and place to meet. Take I -15 down to Payson, and take the second payson exit. I'm not sure what exit number it is but the second exit is the one where you can see Rocky Mountain ATV just off to the right of the freeway. I' m thinking 8:00 a.m. would be nice and early, but it is about an hour or so south of SLC, so if that is too early for you guys let me know and we can meet a little later. Thanks. This ride will be fun. My cell is 801-372-9896. I'll have it with me if anyone gets lost or is running behind.
