first of all, i know my trans is all in new condition. now, i went trail riding and really worked the gears. about midday, i started feeling a sort of grinding or a mashing-of-gears feeling in my shift lever on upshifts only. i thought maybe it was my boot rubbing on the sprocket, but it wasnt. the vibration feeling in the shift lever was always at the same "rpm", so it had to be internal. but no gears ever skipped, and no missed shifts. :awww:
the wierd thing is it went away as quickly as it started, it stopped doing that completely by the end of the day. i havent ridden the bike since, but now im afraid of an impending failure. does the shifting mechanism break? bent forks, blown gear teeth, broken dogs, worn drums ive heard of. but how would the shift lever recieve feedback from the gears (the grinding feeling)?
