I am thinking about entering my first Enduro race this weekend. The flier informs you that if your bike can not go 35 miles on one tank then you need to bring an extra gas tank. I have not even ridin close to that distance since i bought my bike... I am going to have a tank just incase but can anyone tell me what the max distance is on a pretty much stock 2000 yz 426? And maybe some prepping that i may need to do to the bike, and myself before this weekend.... Thanks

Should get around 50 miles and long as your not revving the crap out of the motor.

Another question to add before i ride this weekend... I know that the chain is supossed to be somewhat loose because it tightens when you are gassing on the engine but what is a good guide to determine if the chain needs tightning or a link removed? And what is the correct tension that needs to be on the chain?
