The previous poster read my mind. You said you wanted reliablity, so stick with stock parts !!!!! Thats probably why no one responded to your post, because any of these performance parts are going to kill your reliablility, and porbably make it run poor at lower RPS's. I would not change the cam, not enough performance gain for all that you are risking in reliability. I just totally rebuilt my motor, from the ground up, and went with all stock parts even though they cost more. More power is always good  ,but I ride in some really and I mean way remote areas, and I need my bike to be reliable and just plain run good. What good is a screaming top end if the bike runs like schit at lower rpms where it run it 90 % of the time anyways. :awww:

The one thing I would want is that Edelbrock pumper carb everyone is always talking about, but its like 400 bucks ?

Thanks guys for suggestions. As ever, what you do to upgrade your bike TOTALLY depends on what you are going to do with it!

I also ride in remote desert areas, which is why need reliability, but also find that riding soft sand tracks at the bottom of dunes at speeds regularly in excess of 120kph (70mph+), more power IS desirable! Possibly some weight loss (mine) might also help!

Anyway thanks for input...will make up mind this weekend...

All the best...
