ringless pistons!!!

kawisaki is playing with using ringless pistons? Its possible, most nitro engines for RC cars are ringless and use extremely close tolereances, less than .0005. anyone else hear about this?

i havent heard about this but it sounds cool. It should increase perfromance but how good will the reliability be.
