Well, off to get married. And yes, she loves to ride. We are going trail riding for a week for our honeymoon.

Does your bride happen to have a single sister in her 40's?

Shane,
Congratulations on your marriage. It sounds like you have a great bride. A week long trail ride for a honeymoon sounds too good to be true. Ride safe, have fun and treasure that great woman :) . May the lord bless your marriage richly.

Maybe your new wife needs to talk to my wife. My wife is wonderful, she just doesn't like to ride. :) You're lucky! Congratulations and good luck!

My wife ride's ME!!! She likes her 99 Scrambler 500 4X4 to, but all she wants to do is play in mud pits!!! I ended up putting a S12 Michelin on the back of my 426f for mud riding, (I think I'll put a post up about that one.) I'm a newly Wed myself April 6 2002, I love every second of it!! GOOD LUCK!!!.

Okay, congradulations on the marriage, but wait a minute, she likes to ride. You think she does, the minute you say "I DO " she will start saying "I DON'T", I know of what I speak, my wife when we dated would suck the bed sheets up my &*# but now she won't even say hi to luther. And what about five years from now if she still rides and you need that free time, oh no, she's going....
Think of what the wise old owl would say!!!!

My wife who was my then girlfriend came with me riding at the local track. She was standing next to a berm. I told her don't stand there, she gave me a dumb look and said why. On cue a buddy on a CR500 came around the corner and roosted hergood . She looked at me went inside the truck and didn't come out unitl I got in front of her house. My buddy thought I would be pissed but I done some not so nice things to his girl. Since then riding has been heaven, no pain-in-the-ass tagging along. No dirty looks for my language or 86ing the trips to the post ride go-go bar. That togetherness stuff ain't for me.

I stopped ridding when I met me wife (not cuz her, movin and such) and started riding again a few months ago (five years later) and we have somewhat of an unofficial understanding.

I go ridin, no questions asked but one when I return "did you get hurt". I then hold in the pain and say "hell no, what do ya think im a rook" :)

Known for two many hobbies me wiff has been very good about BIG BLUE or "Blue Death" as known to many victims who I have seen get body slammed by the 426.

Good thing shes understanding or I would feel that much more guilty when Im riding, :D :D

I think my wife understands now (watch her make a liar out of me tomorrow). Riding is a mis-da-meaner. The more I miss, da meaner I get. She says "go to the track, take as long as you need" :)

After 5 years of marriage my wife and I developed a give and take relationship. I give up the money and she takes it!
Not really. She never liked to ride or be ridden, however she knew how much I loved it. Our deal is that for every weekend campout riding or any afternoon at the track she'll get an equal amount of time to things by herself or with her girlfriends, like a weekend at the casino in Louisana or go to Galveston. I promise you it's alot cheaper to ride dirtbikes than anything her and her friends do.
After 20 years and 4 children I think its little things like these that keep our relationship strong.
Consider yourself lucky. None of my riding buddies wives are into the sport the way we are. Although we have a great time, I'm secretly bummed when I see other guys who have their wives and kids with them.
