ignition wire

i'm new to this web site and had heard that there is a gray wire that you can cut on a yz426's ignition for more power , is this true and which one do i chop if it is true, any info is appreciated. thankyou

The gray wire is for wr's only.

What you heard was the light blue wire, and on some, not all, some, it helps with plug fouling. I disconnected mine and found zero change.

I un-hooked the blue wire on my '01 426 and it made a 100% difference as far as fouling plugs go.

No change as far as power.
