head bearing

im going to replace them soon , any special tips or tricks? do i need special tools?

There was a good posting on this topic on the YZ/WR 250f forum a week or two ago - try looking there.

Good luck with the lower steering head bearing.

When I got there I changed my mind about the whole job and cleaned and regreased my old bearing - works ok!

Get your dealer to do this for you unless you have the right press etc

gal, piece of cake...

you'll need the bottom bearing pressed off, you can get it yourself but its easier to supply your local shop with a six pack and some good will...

if you need to get the races out i used a round bar and a hammer. i found that to put the new races in a little grease and a 2 inch trailer ball works great! :)
