I have a 98 yz400 and was wondering if there is a gasket that goes between the 2 main halves of the crankcase. I ordered the gasket kit from a local cycle shop and a gasket didn't come for these two pieces. I also can't recall if there was one on disassembly. Any help would be appreciated.

The Yamaha's don't use crankcase gaskets. Get a tube of Yamabond #4. Most Yamaha dealers carry it.

All Honda's use centercase gaskets!
