noise when idling seems to get quieter when clutch is pulled in any suggestions ?

Don't worry about it. ? These 4 strokes make a lot of engine and clutch noise. It is greatly magnified if you have a skid plate installed.

Just ride it and have fun. (I wear ear plugs to drowned out the engine noise while riding)

Yes, they do make a lot of engine noise. What I did to reduce the amplification of noise from the skid plate was to have it sprayed with truck bed liner (my buddy owns the Ameriguard franchise here.) It greatly reduced the noise (and it looks pretty cool, too.)

Good idea Dave! I just left the stock plastic one on and put the new one overtop. That seems to work as well. ?
