I have got a question that I have not been able to get a really good answer for. Does anyone know for sure if the flywheel is interchangeable between a 00' wr and yz. I am using a wr 400 motor in a lonestare quad chassis and want a quicker rev. If the flywheel will fit on the crank will the stator have to be used from a yz and how much of a wiring nightmare would this be. Everyone seems to want to add weight but I want to loose it. I would be more than happy to trade someone for a yz setup if these parts are compatible. Can someone please help. Thanks cameron

Give Steahly a call, they should be able to help you. If nothing else they will machine your flywheel down to the wieght you want. They should have some good suggestions.

Cameron:
I can tell you with absolute certainty that in order to put the YZ flywheel in a WR you will "need to" use the stator form the YZ.

The reason for this is that the WR set-up (flywheel & stator) allows for a larger diameter flwheel in order to get better use of the rotating mass for trail use.

This larger flywheel also allows for a larger stator for more power for the lighting.

Please, don't just take my word on this. Give the folks at electrex U.S.A. a call. Thay will tell you the same thing.
There number is 1-888-369-8359
There web site is http://www.electrexusa.com/

Now... If you want to trade flywheels and stators, (Your WR for my YZ) just shoot me a p.m.

I have added a Zip-Ty 12oz. to my YZ flywheel. It is the removable type so if I ever wanted to get back to the snap of my YZ I'm just a few bolts away from doing the convert.

Oh ya. One more thing. I also have the electrex stator. It does power my headlight but not as bright as the WR stator.
