00 424 too loud for CA - Best 96db exhaust/

I have a 00 426 that currently has the stock header and WB E series can with 4 plates. I cannot meet the 96db level (No surprise there) and cannot continue to pay the fines. Has anybody tried the new WB E2 or has a reccomendation that will meet 96db without losing too many hp's?

Any suggestions would help.

The E2 has not been released for the 426 yet. SHould be the next week or two.

Those That got the E2 for the YZ 450 have tested at above 97 98db, WB has correct these and now test below 96. If you need to get down to 96 cheeply until the E2 is released

put the stock muffle back on and get a Pro-Moto Insert and spark arrester about 140 buck I think

Just got one installed in the shop (e2) and there was NO sound difference from stock. Just stuck out another foot. Still loud and the tone was even the same.

I am not a FMF fan, but the Q series mufflers are some of the quieter units I have heard on the 4xx bikes.

Yep. But be prepared for losing ponies off the bottom.

From all that I have read the FMF Q seems to be the best "quiet" muffler. I haven't ridden with any quiet muffler so I don't have any real experience, but I do read a bit and this seems to be the general concensus from all that I have read.

I have a Q on my 426 and it tested at 94. More low end torque, but you lose the high rev pull
