i have a yzf 450 that fouls plugs and doesn't run perfect. i took the pilot jet down one size (from 42 to 40). now it doesn't idle as good and when you are riding and hit a jump, the idle stay up way too high. any suggestions?

Drop the main down one size and maybe the needle down a clip. Also make sure the air filter is clean and free of excess oil. If I leave a bunch of oil in mine, it will foul a plug everytime. If that doesn't help, weld the throttle WFO, who needs an idle anyway!!!
