Just put a JD jeting kit in my friends WR426 and I was wondering what the switch mounted near the top of the carb on the choke side is. It is attached to the throttle shaft and bolts on with 2 allen screws with tits in the middle of the recess and it's adjustable. thanks

It's a potentiometer.....varies the resistance with throttle opening. The CDI uses it to determine the ignition advance setting.
