Ttr230 carb questions

Ok so ive done some searching on the forum and cant find what im looking for, if ive missed it sorry for the repeat

Ok so i have a 2017 ttr230 and i just got done with a re-jet, i went 130 main and 38 pilot with fuel screw 2 turns out and air box snorkel removed and holes drilled and holes drilled in the spark arrestor like i have read in other threads.

My question is when im at idle and blip the throttle it bogs down, is this normal?

If i give it slight throttle and then blip it everything is fine, i have experimented with the fuel screw with no luck

Also the drain hose on the right hand side of the carb always shows a drip of gas at the end of it after a ride?

Your jetting is correct. How fast are you blipping the throttle? These bikes don't have accelerator pumps, and no amount of tuning will dial out the lean condition created with a quickly snapped open throttle.

Thats good then, just curious as i dont remember ever testing it like that in the stock form

Id like to see a bit more brown on the plug to says it perfect... but looks good to me.

Ride that thing and have some fun. Worry a bout how it feels when riding under load... dont worry about blips while standing still.

Can someone tell me what this vent hose is for and why it would have a drip of gas on the end of it after a ride? Sorry not very card savvy

I'm not exactly sure what that line is. By any chance is there a t where that line is running from?

But for the spark plug, if it is black then that means it is to rich so lean the bike out and see what happens.

Plug reading is useless unless you perform a full throttle plug chop, and the remove the threads.

Like someone else said, lean bog when whacking the throttle open on neutral is normal on this bike.

For optimal low throttle response, get a right angle carb screwdriver, ride it until warm, park it in neutral. Turn the fuel screw clockwise until it starts to die, then back it out 1.25 turns from there. Do this once a season, or when changing ride areas.

Ride it, and have fun.
