would u offer $5,700 for this drz?

Area matters. Cali is pretty decent for pricing. If you live near trailer parks, clearly bike prices will reflect the low rent the dealer pays for space. I'm going to guess Anchorage and Hawaii  have the highest bike prices in the US.

Most bikes deprecate fairly hard. If you bought a Harley FX for 15k and a Yamaha Star for 10k in 1997, the Harley would now be worth about 5k and the Yamaha nearly nothing. Point is, all the talk of a bike 'holding' value is relative, both people lost the same amount.

That's my old bike. Minus those stickers on healdlight and rear plastics. It's been on CL for awhile and the price has been reduced over a grand. I'm assuming he would go lower. I still have every part that took off that bike.

The engine won't be damaged in any way due to the larger pipe, where would anyone get that idea from? This isn't a small bore 2 smoke track bike, for krisakes. I think he's a little high, even at the 5,500. It'll probably still be available in a few weeks, so maybe be patient?

And you think running a larger diameter exhaust will do that? Really?

You tell me; when the exhaust flows better, does the engine get richer or leaner? :D

REASON FOR EDIT: Forgot  to add the :D

So....a (minor) change in the air flowing through the carb has zero effect on the quantity of fuel metered into the airstream? It just gets substantially richer with less air and valve-burning lean with more? It will always meter a set amount of fuel, so jetting size must be increased to avoid valve destruction?

Really?

Sorry for the diversion/hijack, I'll switch to silent now.

It hasn't changed much. The house down the street from work just got out on the market. Its 15 acres and 2 bedrooms and 3 baths. It's nice but not $4,000,000 nice.

I have a piece of property that is worth more than the cabin that's buolt on it. I could get about 20,000 for the 900sq ft. Cabin and close to a million for the property. It's only an acre.
