Switch to efi KX250f or stick with 2008?

I've got a 2008 kx250f that's my main motocross bike, it's pretty fun and looks great. It has given me a few issues being older. I also have a 1997 yz125 project that's just about done.  Through all the trouble I've had with the kx and all my used bikes, I've been wondering if it would be worth it to buy a newer but still used fuel injected 250f. I want a newer bike for the fuel injection, fewer issues from previous owners, one fewer bike to worry about, and a better bike all together. I would get a used 2012 or newer. If I want to go that route and get a newer track bike I would have sell both the kx250f and my yz. With the yz almost rideable, I'll love having two fun bikes at the track so it's hard to give that up, but if it's worth it, I'm willing to sell it.

How do newer kx250f's feel compared to older carb models? Should I try to find a different bike instead of a kawasaki? Is it worth it to switch? What's the best 2012-2014 250f for a decent track rider around 190lbs?

see if someone will let you test ride an efi bike? even just around a flat surface.

EFI is so much better to me, but others are stuck in the 1960's and will disagree.

EFI is great and I wouldn't consider a new 4 stroke without it. With that being said, I wouldn't upgrade a bike just to get EFI.

I want a newer bike for one fewer bike to maintain, be able to have a nicer bike with less work required, and efi.

If you are going newer, and selling off the two bikes you have, why not buy new new. No previous owners, efi. Sooooo shiny

not all EFI systems are the same, but for the ones that are dialed in, they are better

I live and ride at high altitude, which really gives EFI a chance to show you its advantages. We might have a 3000 foot swing in a ride, starting at 6000. It sure is nice to hit a button and go, not kick and jet like poor people.
