Dual Sport to Dirt in South Charlotte NC

Hey everyone,

I am looking for some ideas of some good areas to ride dirt in south Charlotte (Monroe area) NC or just across the line in SC. I know of a few but they are just dirt roads in SC. They are fun for a quick trip but I am looking for a little more technical.

If anyone is looking for dirt roads in the area they are located off of Highway 207 just across the SC line. They are not technical at all but does go through some nice crop fields for some nice views.

Also have been down to the Carolina Sand Hills State Forest to ride the sand roads. It's a lot of fun if you like sand but new riders be warned it can be difficult to stay up if you don't know how to keep the front wheel light.

Also have been to Carolina Adventure World and uwharrie ohv trails. Both are pretty good but get rutted out by the mud bogging four wheelers.

Any other ideas around the Monroe area? Anything from a 10 min power line cut through to a days worth of pay to play. Preferably something that isn't posted.

Also open to riding with people in the areas I know. The areas I know really aren't anything crazy but could spend a good afternoon on the dirt roads.

I ride a Dr650 currently but will have my Dr350 up and running by the end of winter.
