High Capacity Fuel Tanks for WR450 - Stock fuel range?

You are safe with the 2.6 gallon tank going 60 to 70 miles! I do it all the time! :)

Confirmed Indy's comment from above.
I got about 60 miles outta my stock tank when I hit reserve. 30+ miles of the 60 were @ race pace. :)

I am considering buying a large 426 tank to fit on my 450, do you already know if the fitting can be done, in other words are they upwards compatible?

Better off with the 3.4 Gallon GYTR tank it makes the WR450 look like a WR426. I am real happy with the quality. I have been running it for a few months and the only issue is a bad O-ring seal material under the cap. Fixed with gasket sealant. Love the tank. 80 - 90 miles of hard riding or 135 miles of dual sport cruising. :thumbsup:

I bought mine online from Yamaha of Troy it is a Yamaha GYTR part for the YZ450 and you will need to buy new YZ radiator shrouds. Link to web site:
