Yeah!!!!! I wanted to see a big bore 4t 4 stroke back in the racing lineup!!! 480!!!  How does Beta find these young wonderboys and world champions to race for them??? great..but I'm always surprised at the talent from a small company.. Where is the money coming from to sponsor these guys with a small company like Beta.. nice cap..didn't see that one.

Thats the thing, they never last long. They find good talent and get them on board but within a year KTM steals them away. How many times has that happened now?

Beta needs to ponie up the cash to keep some of these guys. Imagine if they had paid to keep Cody Webb, tisk tisk.

^ KTM's pockets are far, far deeper than Beta's.

No doubt, but you'd think they could afford to keep at least one rider. KTM has literally dozens and dozens and has the money to keep taking them from other brands. I just wish Beta would put down the money to keep just one of these very talented guys. Thats literally what keeps them off the podium, the riders get take by other companies.

Thank goodness for riders like Kyle Redmon who apparently stick with Beta out of charity or something. He's the only guy thats stuck around that regularly places in the top of the lineup.

But they're a small company.. small companies that don't have a huge amount of volume os sales and money.. ktm is huge in comparison.. but Beta still gets great riders.. There must be some kind of good magic that gets them to go to Beta.

The way Beta is going.. they don't need to keep riders.. They keep finding other riders that are great. Holcolmbe , Salvini, Aubert .. 3 world champions right there for a little company.. They had McCanney and Webb and more.. all winning.. Beta is doing something right for sure. .. all with this tiny company. I never ever expected much out of Beta as far as sponsorships. I figure if they are running top ten that's pretty awesome for Beta's size.. no biggee.. but Beta is kicking ass.

Hey remember Dougie Lampkin? He was one of 2 riders to finish(G.Jarvis the other) and he won Hells gate.. on a 450 rr Beta .. yea there have been a few top riders roll through Beta.. but that's ok.. He still represented Beta well.. like Beta is represented well now.. and I don't even care so much that Beta wins or not.. if it's in the top 5 or 10 that's great to me..

KTM keeps stealing riders away? Cody is the only guy that left Beta for another ride with KTM. Others have left for various reasons, but none with a full ride like they had with Beta. They just end up riding KTM becuase it's kinda like the default bike to go to. Cody's deal wasn't even a financial thing. Beta never even got a chance to match the offer, which they very well might have. Cody is the only guy who has left that Beta wanted to keep.

As for Kyle, I like him and hope he is on the team next year (I have know idea what's happening there) but don't forget he had no ride before Beta picked him up. He got a 2 year deal when Cody left, those 2 years are up. Hopefully he gets a few more years, he's a good level headed guy.

We met Joe, his wife and son at the Idaho EX and heard he was joining the team for Hare & Hound. Very nice family and seems like a highly motivated young man ready to do well! Crazy he is already at the level he is with so little racing experience.

That's not even what he is most known for. He's a 7 time trials world champion! And three or four of those where with Beta.

I think maybe talking about Giacomo Redondi and Danny McCanney in junior EWC both winning championships on beta and moving on.... but ktm just has done that with guys like Antoine Meo going from husky to ktm..and others, etc too .. but now that's more past history since ktm has bought husky for ex..; There's , TM , Beta, gasgas,Sherco , Honda, yamaha vs ktm /husky..   It's like watching NBA players and football players move around from team to team... and of course Baseball and the Yankees against the world with the most money spent on a team. I don't know how dedicated honda and yamaha are.. the landscape has changed and USA is another story too.....but ktm does sell and make a lot of bikes.. They have a large share of the enduro market.. and they do have money to spend to get riders I guess.

He sounds like another Dick Burleson. Only difference is Dick never even swung a leg over a bike until he was 18.
