Anybody got a ballpark idea of how much it would cost to ship a WR400 or equivalent from Lincoln, Nebraska to Sacramento, California?

Anybody shipped a dirtbike? How's it done?

I just shipped a WR from Portland to Boulder and this is what I found....

These guys are the cheapest by far, and are fast. You have to crate the bike, and you want to crate it well, because they're none too careful. You can usually get a crate for a similar bike from your local dealer.

Or, there are companies that use a pallet and straps for your bike. No crating, door to door service, and probably better handling, but they're expensive. Like $600 minimum.
