Is SELLOUT one or two WORDS??

Recommended Posts

Can Miracles Happen???????

Check out Racer X's Eric Johnson doing another fine interview with Malcolm McCassy Sr. and partner "CAP LOCKS" Jim Facciuto, regarding the MXDN.

Then there is the silver spooned, Malcom McCassy Jr. wondering HOW THE *%#$ IS POPS GONNA PULL THIS ONE OFF!!!2up.gif">

G,

I hadn't heard that song in years, and when I read this post I just had to hear it again. It is in MP3 format, so you will obviously need a MP3 player to listen. Winamp is a good one (http://www.winamp.com), and many others are out there. Make sure you right click on the link and save the file locally.

Oh yeah, it will be a miracle if they can pull it off. I hope they do a good job.

Ron,

Yes I got it to work, and thanks for the memories! I remember that song from a m/c movie made in the 80's, it's a classic!

Scott F

"As you can see in the picture, they already have the requisite number of FIM spec jumps. Now if they could just tilt the landscape...

P.S. Sell out is two words - "no tickets"."

LOL yea a serious tilt might be the ticket!

Check out the 'NICE' sandy berm too.

Sellout as in DORNA selling out to $$$ and ruining a longstanding tradition, of good tracks. Also, does anyone know it's gone from 3 motos to ONE!!!!! UGHHHH

I've been in this sport a looong time and even though it's in the US it's a travesty!

I wouldnt care if they ran separate motos, its here. Its never been here. And Id like to see a freakin supercross course laid out for those loud mouthed Euro whiners when they get here. See how the 500's like a 120 foot triple with a 25 foot run at it. It our backyard now, we just need to get carmichael out of the CA. funk he seems to have. ?

Regarding the single-moto format. I know that D$$na decided this was the thing to do to make it more marketable, but are they going to run the 125s, 250s and 500s in a single moto and that's it?

I'd already made motel reservations but after reading up on what GMan commented on, I think I'll cancel. 2 plane tickets, rooms for 3 nights is pretty damned expensive for one 30 minute moto. ?

I WANT to come and watch. I DON'T want to spend a small fortune watching ONE moto.

No chance of driving out.. I'll have been on the Colorado 500 two weeks before the MXdN. No time left.

G-man, have you been to the current Comp Park? They both are flat, but the new park looks like it has more potential and better dirt. The big bonus is it is not next to a stinkin' dairy farm, and the new track looks like it will be real dirt, sandy dirt, but not powdered manure like the old Comp.

They obviously have a lot of dirt moving and infrastructure building to get done in a short time.

Shawn, MXdN came to Unadilla in '87.

Just want to clear up the fact I am not AGAINST the fact the US is hosting this yrs MXDN, and I do not want to deter anyone from attending.

I will be their with my fingers crossed.

Having been in this sport for 30yrs I am very much into the HISTORY & TRADITIONS of the great sport we call Motocross.

What I am against is big $$$$ (DORNA) ruining a great event like the MXDN. It's not right and I could care less if we kick the Euro's ass on a joke of a track! It will be an embarrassment if the track is a joke. I am all about tradition and to me a flat field with jumps is not worthy....

His name is Jonathen Beasley, and he's been screwed a few times by hosting a USGP with absolutely no support or PR from the AMA. In fact it's almost like there against it. The last GP there was a couple of yrs ago and drew like 4000 spectators!!!

Two American riders rode and KW had a great race with Everts. I saw a GP there in 94, and it was great, but not much support from the AMA.

High level AMA adminstrators have been leaving in droves, and Im positive its because of the AMA/Clearchannel fiasco. Since that got sorted at least Supercross is set for a few years. The deal is AMA sanctions events, not promotes events. And thats a good thing. Problem is, the AMA has had it head in its arse for quite a while in regards to motocross sanctioning. Now if Dorna wanted hire a promoter, Mr. Beasley wouldn't have taken the bath he did on the last GP he held. Problem with that it, the AMA is the US representive for the FIM. Dorna promotes the GP's for the FIM. Basically it boils down to this for Mr. Beasley, ROCK<BEASLEY>HARDPLACE.

Yep it's all true. Very good points lets hope it doesn't become as bad as DOR$$na. They ALMOST screwed up bad with the SX split that got saved in the 12th hr., but now the AMA has a lawsuit to be dealt with in JAM Productions. Doesn't it make you feel good to know our AMA membership dollars are going to such stupidiness?piss.gif

The MXDN in 87 I believe, it was a mudfest and Bob Hannah on the downside of a brilliant career was chosen to ride the 125 class amongst a LOT of controversy. In typical Hurricane fashion he shutup all his critics with some fantastic rides even having to push his "screaming for mercy" Suzy up some slimy hills!
