What grade fuel does th 2003 & up XR650L use ?

Regular, Mid Grade or premium. I caint seem ta find this info anywhere. Thanks, ron

I usually only put 92 or higher in mine. :)

The XR650L is a EPA legal machine. Un-modified it runs on 87 octane. The XR650R however runs on 92 octane.

Regular, Mid Grade or premium.


Lower compression = lower octane. Run whatever feels & sounds right. I run 89 (CA) with no complaints. I will run 92 if I'm riding in the desert heat, though.
