Making a dirt bike street legal

Does anyone know where to go in mass to have a state trooper inspect my bike to see if it's road worthy?

Ask a local moto dealer. I just bought a new bike and they did the paperwork and inspection for me.

Your bike if used would be a different story, but a dealer would at least know the process in your state / area.

Go to a shop that does motorcycle inspections. BTW if it says "offroad only" on the title you will never be able to make it street legal.

Go to vermont. You can get a VT plate in your name with your mass or whatever other state address you have. Ask me how I know?

 Got  my DRZ plated in MA 2years ago, contact your local DMVs' title department, they'll hook you up with 'Safety and Compliance'. An SC officer came to my house, inspected my bike and then signed off on it. I then took that document to the DMV along with bill of sale and certificate of origin, and got my plate and registration, the title came in the mail about a month later. If you bought your dirtbike privately, you're gonna be paying sales tax at DMV

I went to Ma.Registry a few years ago and got a title for an offroad bike. Told them i needed a title to insure it for theft. Got title and it said nothing on it about off road only! Went back to insurance company with title and got a plate!

 Point is, it can be done legitimately at a MA DMV, no need to try something sneaky like going through NH, Vermont, or South Dakota.
