Hey guys,

Does anyone know exactly what the idle adjuster does on a 2012 WR450F, does it increase fuel?

I'm talking about the cold start knob (where a choke would usually be) that doubles as an idle adjuster from what I read in the manual.

I'm wanting to know as currently my bike is running quite lean at idle due to an aftermarket exhaust. Whenever I let off the throttle, I hear constant popping until i turn the throttle on again. And the GYTR tuner is unable to change the fueling below 1/8 throttle.

So does anyone know if that adjustment would increase fuel at idle to solve my issue?

Thanks,

Nath.

You have a lean condition.

You cannot fix that condition without changing the CO setting at idle.

This is done using an FI Analyzer tool.

The Yamaha GYTR tuner tool will not address this.
