Which ring on front forks of '08 TE250? need info please

I'd try the 2nd or 3rd ring down. The lower you go, the better they turn.

The lower you go the less stable the bike is. The lower you go the more the front will knife. Too far down you will take away from the rear resulting is loss of breaking. I would start 1 1/2 down with 120mm race sag on rear with no more then 40mm static sag. Then drop as needed for your riding,,,, little goes a long way. Also those forks dirty the oil quickly leaving sludge in the valve stack hampering fork function. Flush every 35-40 hrs for best results. Stock these forks (50mm OC) are firm, revalve makes them very good. If the rear kicks a lot rebuild the shock immediately!

That's more along the lines of what I was thinking. Thanks for the extra bit of info on setup. I think I located me a stock linkage, so I can hopefully get it raised up and get rid of the Kouba link. I'm in no way a suspension guru. But, I know lowering one down plays hell with them all the way around
